There are many ways to unwind after experiencing an entitled Karen rant in the wild. Our favorite is writing a rant online, steeped in sarcasm and hilarity! Just like this dog mom did.

  • If you are a dog parent, then you know the drama that can arise at any park. Whether you enjoy an off-leash park or a leashed one, there is always an entitled pet parent who thinks they own the place. There will be someone at the off-leash park barking at someone to leash their dog, and there will always be someone at the leashed parks letting their dogs run wild off-leash. It's frustrating and infuriating, but something all pet parents go through at one point in their furry family lifetime. 

    What can you do? You can do your best. That is all. And then later, you can turn to the internet for some additional comfort.

  • I used to foster dogs, and many would arrive scared and reactive. It's not their fault! They came from who knows what kind of horrible background and they are just stuck in their fight or flight mode. It takes time and training and lots of love and patients to get some dogs to not be reactive anymore. And some dogs are just simply reactive forever and they just need to learn how to chill while it's your duty as the pet parent to keep them away from their trigger. 

    So I have a special vendetta against pet parents who free their dogs in a leashed area. The dread I would feel when an off-leash dog would approach a reactive dog that I was just trying to take on a walk to enjoy the day, and also work on training the reactivity, was heavy. You think, “welp, I'm either going to have to break up a dog fight or get bit while I physically put myself between my dog and this strange dog who should be leashed…” A moment like that can undo so much training and make everything so much more frustrating and sad. So please, LEASH YOUR DANG DOGS! Unless it is a specifically off-leash park, your dog should be leashed. Period. Your dog might be friendly, but you don't know about anyone else's. 

    So I relate very much to the sarcasm and wit of this dog mom's rant. Bravo!
